Enrolling online is easy! Go to www.discoverchampions.com and click “enroll now." The system will walk you through registration, enrollment, and account setup process for your family.

At Champions, we work with the Iowa Department of Human Services (DHS), the entity responsible for licensing childcare programs. Being a licensedprogram, requires Champions to follow state ratios of 1 staff member for every 15 children.

YES! After you pick your weekly schedule, a custom calendar feature on your account page allows you to customize the following week (or weeks). This application needs to be complete no later than the Wednesday prior to the week needing the schedule change. You can set up a custom schedule online for the dates you need. Just remember to re-enter your regular schedule afterward so your child keeps their spot. If you do not need care for a full week, please contact our Family Support team at ChampionsHelp@KC-Education.com or 800-246-2154. You can also request a drop-in day for emergency or unexpected care needs. Just know that requests may include an extra "drop-in fee" and depend on whether we have space available. 

Every afternoon there is a minimum of 30 minutes of dedicated homework time. Champions program include a reading program to supplement school required reading time. After homework, the group moves on to activities in Art, Science, Drama, Music, Sports and more.

Yes, Champions school year program opens at 6:30 AM and closes at 6:00 PM on our regular scheduled school days. The Champions Summer program runs 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Weekly Early Releases are held at your school at no additional cost. Any non-standard Early Releases (weather, etc.) will be held at your school for an additional $10. Full non-school days are held at a consolidated site in the school district for an additional $32 if scheduled, or $45 to drop-in. If there is a weather delay or closure, Champions may operate at a consolidated site, should conditions allow our staff to safely travel.

Yes, Champions plan to accept CCA. We’re currently working toward licensing our programs with the Iowa Department of Human Services, which should allow us to accept CCA. As long as there is space available in the program, there will be no cap on the number of CCA spots we will accept.

Champion site directors are highly qualified educators, with a combination of education and experience. Education may include a Bachelor or Associate degree in Education, Social Science, Early Childhood Education or a CDA (Child Development Associate). Our directors experience includes working with school age children for a minimum of two years. Our average site director possesses their college degree and has 5-10 years of experience in the childcare field.
