Back-to-School Event Schedule

Are you ready for the new school year? You and your student are invited to attend a back-to-school open house event at your student’s school. Students will have the opportunity to tour their classrooms, meet their teachers, and drop off school supplies. Locate your school in the list below for their Back-to-School Open House information.

Bertram

• Back-to-School Night – August 19 - 3:00 to 5:00 PM

Cedar River Academy

• Back-to-School Night – August 20 – 4:00-6:00 PM
• Kindergarten Roundup - August 13 - 4:00 to 5:00 PM

City View Community High School

Cleveland Elementary

• Cleveland Tailgate Meet-and-Greet with Ms. Johnson – August 18th – 6:00 to 7:00 PM
• Cleveland staff will be contacting families directly to schedule a time to meet with them individually for students to drop off school supplies and meet their teacher(s).
• Back-to-School Night - September 10 - 3:00 to 5:00 PM

Erskine Elementary

• Back-to-School Open House- August 20- 4:00 to 6:00 PM
• Kindergarten Round-Up- August 10 – 8:00 to 9:00 AM and 3:00 to 4:00 PM
  • There are two times available. Students and families only need to attend one

Franklin Middle School

• Back-to-School Night – August 20 – 4:00 to 6:00 PM

Grant Elementary

• Kindergarten Kick-Off - August 14 - 4:00 to 5:00 PM

Grant Wood Elementary

• Great Start Conferences - Teachers will email families in early August to schedule a meeting time. 
• Kindergarten Boot Camp - August 13 - 9:30 to 3:30 PM
  • Half of the students will attend in the morning and half in the afternoon
• Popcicles with the Principal – August 19th – 6:00 to 7:00 PM

Harding Middle School

• Back-to-School Open House – August 18 – 3:30 to 6:00 PM

Harrison at Madison

• Supply Drop-Off – August 20 – 4:00 to 6:00 PM

Hoover Elementary

  • This event is for students and parents

Jefferson High School

• Freshman/New Student Orientation – August 19 – 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM

  • We will open up the new Freshman Academy wing for tours during this event.

Johnson STEAM Academy

• Back-to-School Night – August 18 – 5:00 to 7:00 PM

Kennedy High School

• Freshman Orientation – August 19 – 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
• Back-to-School Open House – August 31 – 5:30 to 7:00 PM

Kenwood Leadership Academy

  • A sign-up genius will be coming to families in early August.  Families will learn about the classroom teacher placement, sign up for a getting-to-know-you meeting, and drop off school supplies.  Each meeting will be 15 minutes.
